Visiting Scholar - Arfa Anjum

Arfa Anjum is a Ph.D. scholar in ICAR – Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute, New Delhi, India. She is currently a visiting scholar in the department of Crop and Soil Science at Washington State University. She has a diverse educational background with a Master’s in Bioinformatics and Bachelor’s in Agriculture. She is extending her interests in data science and computing to develop a methodology for change point detection in genomic sequence. Her goal is to develop along with methodology, an R package also, that will help plant scientists in identification of novel segments in whole genome and those segments will work as markers for the identification of a segments responsible for a trait.
