Ph.D. Student - Meijing Liang

I am a 2nd year PhD student in Crop Science, residing in Pullman, WA with my husband. I am also a Teaching Assistant at Washington State University. I have a background in Animal Genetics & Breeding, and previously worked on alfalfa research for 3 years. My research focuses on GWAS & GS in crops, wheat kernel image classification with CNNs, and alfalfa forage prediction with UAV imagery. I am a licensed drone pilot and have expertise in computational biology, bioinformatics, agronomy, and developing skills in communication, teamwork, and leadership. I participated in the 2023 AgAID Digital Agathon and won 4th prize, demonstrating my problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills. I am seeking a summer internship in areas such as agricultural R&D, remote sensing, GIS, and AI technologies in agriculture.
